The Rizk Foundation was created in 2004 to fund cancer research, raise awareness of the disease, and educate the public as to how they can help. The founder, Tarik Ibrahim, was inspired to use the play on the word ‘risk’ by his grandfather, Dr. Anis Rizk, who suffered from cancer. The name is quite fitting- cancer is nothing, if not a risk. Our hope is to make a difference using the great research minds in this country to take the fight against cancer even further than it has progressed currently. We can only reach our goals with your support.

Our mission is supported through generosity from the areas surrounding our home in Detroit, Michigan and from around the nation. Great strides have been made in cancer research over the past decade and we believe that even larger steps are possible in treatments and cure rates for patients afflicted with this disease. The money you donate is used to fund research grants for some of the nation’s brightest scientists at some of the most outstanding research institutions in the country.

There are always opportunities to volunteer, no matter where you live. The Rizk Foundation is growing fast and looking for events and volunteers locally and nationally to help spread the fight against cancer.
